Darren Randolph today left West Ham for Championship side Middlesbrough in a deal worth a reported £5 million.

The switch brings to an end Randolph’s two year spell at the London Stadium after he joined the club from Birmingham City in the summer of 2015.

Reports suggest that the man he was battling it out with for the number one shirt last season, Adrian, may also be on his way out of the club too as he searches for first team football following the signing of Joe Hart from Manchester City.

Hart will be West Ham’s first choice keeper next season, and while either Randolph or Adrian were set to be his back up next year, that now seems unlikely with both either having moved or set to move away from East London.

The Hammers without doubt need an understudy to Hart, or perhaps even some healthy competition for the number one jersey, so here are three keepers Slaven Bilic should target before August …
