West Ham have made only one new signing so far this summer.
Veteran defender Pablo Zabaleta joined the Hammers after being released by Manchester City at the end of last season following nine trophy-clad seasons with the Sky Blues, in which he won all there is to win in English football.
The signing of the Argentine defender was officially announced on July 1st much to the delight of the West Ham faithful, although a deal for the player was agreed plenty of time before that.
Club captain Mark Noble labelled Zabaleta an ‘all round good guy’ whose experience will be ‘invaluable’ at the club; and Aaron Cresswell has spoken of how the 32-year-old will do nothing but ‘boost’ West Ham. High praise.
