Marko Arnautovic is expected to be announced as a West ham player within the next 48 hours after agreeing personal terms with the club.
The Express reports that Stoke City accepted West Ham’s club record bid of £23 million for the Austria international and that the player has now settled terms with the Hammers.
West Ham had earlier had two bids, the first for £15 million and the second for £20 million, rejected by Stoke but perseverance appears to have now paid off for Slaven Bilic as he looks to have secured one his top targets.
Arnautovic handed in a shock transfer request just over a week ago at the Potters and now looks set to depart from the club he signed for back in 2013 from Werder Bremen for a reported £2 million.
The Hammers have been desperate in their attempts to add fire power to their squad so far this summer, and are thought to be chasing a number of other targets too amidst injury problems with Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll.
