Arsenal are reportedly chasing AC Milan forward M’Baye Niang according to reports from the Daily Star, giving further reason to believe reports that Olivier Giroud could be on his way out of the club this summer.

Niang – who spent the latter half of last season on-loan at Watford, scoring twice in 11 games – was formerly a target for Arsene Wenger in the winter, and the Frenchman has now reportedly reignited his interest in the 22-year-old Frenchman.

Should the Serie A star join the Gunners this summer, the move would pave the way for countryman Giroud to leave after being heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer.

Despite scoring 17 goals last season in what can only be described as limited game time, Giroud has become somewhat of a marmite character in North London and is now thought not to feature in manager Wenger’s plans for the coming season.

West Ham remain the favourites to land his signature, with The Express reporting that talks between £20 million rated player and club are already underway.
