Sources in Germany are now also confirming that a deal for West Ham defender Reece Oxford to join Borussia Monchengladbach on loan is almost done.
The Mirror reported on Friday that the 18 year old was poised to move to the German club, and now Kicker have also corroborated the story. The German magazine say that negotiations are so far advanced that the deal has almost crossed the finish line.
Bild reported on Monday that Gladbach were looking for a two year loan deal, but it seems that the Bundesliga side will not get their wish with Kicker stating a one year loan until the summer of 2018 has been agreed.
Oxford struggled for game time in the second half of last season after joining Championship side Reading on loan in January. He made just five appearances for the Royals, making two starts against Blackburn Rovers and Norwich City. The England Under 20 international will be hoping for better luck if and when his move to Germany is finalised.
