Reports from the Daily Mail state that West Ham target Henry Onyekuru has joined Premier League rivals Everton and will spend next season on loan at Belgian side Anderlecht.
The Hammers had previously been favourites to land the highly sought-after youngster’s signature, but having failed the meet the players release clause, have now been beaten to the Nigerian by The Toffees.
Onyekuru becomes Everton’s third signing of the summer after Sunderland keeper Jordan Pickford and Ajax’s Davy Klaassen both signed long term deals with the Merseyside club.
It has been a frustrating summer so far for West Ham fans, with the club seemingly linked with almost every name under the sun especially when it comes to strikers, however thus far there has been a distinct lack of action on behalf of the board.
Onyekuru is now the third target the club have missed out on already, with Harry Maguire opting to join Leicester City from Hull and Chelsea’s Bertrand Traore moving to Ligue 1 side Lyon.
Fans have taken to twitter to share their reactions, and most of them aren’t happy to say the least. Here are a collection of the least explicit …

So we've 'chased' this Onyekuru for ages now, we bid £700,000 below his release clause and now Everton have come in and got the deal done.

We've missed out on Onyekuru… I am shocked. We never wanted him properly in the first place. Calleri on deadline day, you watch.
