West Ham have made an enquiry about signing Jordi Mboula.
According to a report in the Daily Star, Barcelona are considering sending the forward out on a complex two year repurchase deal similar to their arrangement with Everton for Gerard Deulofeu.
Mboula is highly rated by the Barcelona coaching team with West Ham among the first clubs to make an offer for the 18-year-old.
A fee of £4.1m has been mentioned but there are bound to be complex negotiations to ensure that the deal is right for all parties.
Mboula has been compared to a young Thierry Henry which would certainly suit Slaven Bilic who is wanting his side to play more of a passing game next season.
Bringing the highly rated Barca prospect to the London Stadium would be a real coup for Bilic who knows that he is under serious pressure to start next season strongly after a patchy first season at the London Stadium.
