Huddersfield Town have made an enquiry for West Ham striker Ashley Fletcher, according to the Mirror. The Terriers reportedly are looking to sign the 21 year old on a season long loan.

The newly promoted Premier League side will have competition though from three Championship clubs. Middlesbrough, Fulham and Norwich City are also vying to snap up the forward.

With manager Slaven Bilic keen to add to his forward line in the summer with a reported bid for Kelechi Iheanacho, it seems unlikely that Fletcher will be given the game time he needs next season.

He signed from Manchester United last summer, but he has started just three games in all competitions, while making 20 appearances in total for the Hammers.

He managed just one goal for West Ham, ironically coming against his former club during the 4-1 defeat to United in the quarter final of the EFL Cup back in late November. His last start for the club came a few days later when he played the full 90 minutes of the 5-1 home defeat to Arsenal.
