Crystal Palace will make an opening bid of £10million for Sunderland defender Lamine Kone, according to Footmercato.net.

The Ivorian international is also a target for West Ham and the French website report that both Palace and the Hammers have contacted Kone’s representatives about a possible transfer.

Eagles boss Sam Allardyce is said to have already made overtures to the Ivorian international by talking to his agents. The former Hammers manager has long standing connections after signing the player for Sunderland from Lorient in January 2016.

West Ham meanwhile have also reportedly been in contact to see if the centre back would be interested in a move to the London Stadium. The 28 year old is likely to leave the Stadium of Light this summer after Sunderland’s relegation from the Premier League.

The defender only signed a new five year deal in September to remain at the Black Cats after interest from Everton, but it seems he is now destined to leave this summer.
