Crystal Palace have entered the race to sign Manchester City full back Bacary Sagna, according to the Mirror (via the Croydon Advertiser).
The 34 year old is out of contract at the end of the season, and is free to talk with other clubs about a summer move. West Ham are believed to be interested in the French international but it looks like they may have some competition from Palace for his signature.
Sam Allardyce has guided the club away from relegation trouble but they are still just five points away from the drop zone with five games to go. Sagna may want to be assured that he is playing Premier League football next season which could give the Hammers the edge if they make an early move for the full back.
West Ham are also believed to be looking at Sagna’s team mate Pablo Zabaleta who is also available on a free transfer. Sky Sports reported earlier this month that the Hammers will try to sign one of the pair before the start of next season
