West Ham winger Michail Antonio is said to be holding out for £70,000 a week after rejecting the Hammers’ latest contract offer, according to the Guardian. They report that Chelsea have shown an interest in the 27 year old but no official approach has been made yet.

Antonio only signed a contract extension last summer which runs until 2020 but West Ham were keen to offer a pay rise after giving new signings Jose Fonte and Robert Snodgrass far better terms.

Fonte is reportedly on £70,000 a week and it seems Antonio is seeking parity with his team mate. The winger has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury; news which is a setback for manager Slaven Bilic who has relied on him for goals this season.

Antonio has hit the back of the net nine times in all competitions for the Hammers this season, but had to be taken off late in the first half during the 1-0 win over Swansea City last weekend.
