West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has confirmed winger Robert Snodgrass missed out on a place against Everton due to a swollen knee. The 29 year old was not named in the squad for the 0-0 draw against the Toffees at the weekend.

The Scottish international has been ever-present in the side since his £10.2million move from Hull City in the January transfer window, but he has struggled to recapture his form for the Tigers in the claret and blue.

He had however begun just before his injury to provide some of the quality service that he is known for. After getting his first assist for Cheikhou Kouyate’s crucial long range strike against Swansea City, he followed that up with another, delivering the corner for James Collins’ header in the 2-2 draw against Sunderland.

It is not known when Snodgrass will return to first team action, but after drawing a blank against Everton at the weekend, West Ham fans will be hoping the winger returns to first team action soon.
