West Ham are looking to make a move for Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu, according to the Daily Star. The Hammers have previously tried the sign the player on two previous occasions, the paper reports.

The Spaniard is currently on loan at Serie A side AC Milan, and although the Italian club are keen to sign him at the end of the season, West Ham are hopeful that they can beat the Rossoneri to signing the 23 year old.

Barcelona do have an option to re-sign the winger for £10.3million in the summer and although he could return to the Camp Nou, it is likely he would then be re-sold for a profit. If Barca opt against the move, Everton may demand up to £15.5million for the player, the Star says.

Deulofeu’s record in Italy has been good with one goal and three assists in the ten games he has played since his arrival in Italy during the January transfer window. His performances got him a surprise call up to the Spanish senior side this month.

West Ham are looking at a major overhaul in the summer with a long list players seemingly poised to leave the London Stadium with Deulofeu possibly part of the plans to rebuild the squad after a disappointing season.
