West Ham have told Saint-Etienne that they remain interested in signing right back Kevin Malcuit at the end of the season, according to Le10 Sport.

Sky Sports News reported last week that the Hammers were lining up a £10million offer for the 25 year old in the summer and it seems as though the Ligue One club are bracing themselves for a new bid.

The Premier League side were interested in Malcuit during the January transfer window but an initial bid of £6.8m (€8m) was reportedly rejected for the player on transfer deadline day.

The Frenchman only established himself as a first team regular for Saint-Etienne at the start of this campaign. He has played 28 times in all competitions so far this season, making four assists.

Malcuit moved from Ligue 2 side FC Niort in the summer of 2015 and was a bit part player during his first season but his impressive performances in the league for Saint-Etienne have led to the Hammers’ interest.
