Marseille are interested in signing Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic, according to Foot-sur7.com, but they are wary of West Ham’s potential interest in the Croatian.

Speculation has increased that the 30 year old may leave Juve in the summer with the Sun reporting earlier this week that the Serie A champions are open to a possible sale of the forward in the summer transfer window.

Mandzukic has been a regular starter for the Bianconeri this season but the Italian media are reporting that manager Massimiliano Allegri is looking to reshape his forward line with Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez a potential target.

Where this would leave Mandzukic, it is not certain, but the Hammers have been heavily linked with the Croatian international over the last few months as they seek to strengthen their attacking options.

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic managed the Croatian at international level and is believed to be a big fan of the striker. Marseille’s interest is reportedly centred on a recommendation from their full back Patrice Evra. The French international played with Mandzukic at Juve for a year and a half before joining Marseille in January.
