Brentford want to sign Watford striker Jerome Sinclair before they allow Scott Hogan’s move to West Ham to go ahead, according to the Sun.

The Evening Standard say that the Hammers have submitted a third bid for Hogan believed to be approximately £12.5million after already having two offers rejected for the forward.

The Sun report that Brentford were unhappy with West Ham’s previous offers because they involved paying the transfer fee in installments rather than up front. Whether their newest bid changes the payment structure enough, we will have to wait and see.

It seems however the Bees would like to secure the signing of Sinclair before the Hogan deal is finalised. The Hornets signed the striker from Liverpool for £4million in the summer but are already willing to listen to offers for the player.

The forward scored his first goal for Watford in the FA Cup third round victory against Burton Albion at the weekend but has struggled for game time since his arrival at the club.
