West Ham are prepared to allow Dimitri Payet to leave for £25million but only if Marseille make the offer, according to the Sun. The Hammers are reportedly willing to believe that the Frenchman wants to return home for family reasons and so will reduce their demands by £5million in order for the move to go through.

The Sun also says however that West Ham will block any move to a Premier League rival if an English club attempts to bid during this transfer window.

West Ham co-owner David Sullivan had said that Payet would not be available for any price this month but the Evening Standard then reported that an asking price of £30million had been put on the 29 year old.

So far it is believed that Marseille have had two bids rejected for Payet; the latest being worth £20million. It seems as though the Hammers are willing to meet the French club half way in order to allow for the player to return to France.
