West Ham striker Jonathan Calleri is on the verge of signing for La Liga side Las Palmas, according to the player’s father. The Argentinian has been linked with moves to a number of clubs including Sao Paulo, PSV Eindhoven, Sampdoria, Galatasaray, Alaves and Leganes but it seems the Gran Canaria based club have won the race.
Speaking to Spanish newspaper Marca yesterday, Guillermo Calleri said that his son should sign on the dotted line in the next day or so:
“I do not think the decision will be delayed more than today or tomorrow ”
Calleri signed for West Ham on a season long loan from Deportivo Maldonado in the summer but has never really established himself at the Hammers. He did return to the bench for the 3-0 win against Crystal Palace last weekend but hasn’t played a single minute since coming on as a late substitute against Sunderland back in late October.
