Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph is reporting that West Ham have enquired about signing either full back Mathieu Debuchy or Carl Jenkison from Arsenal.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is believed to be considering which of the two he will allow to leave the Emirates in January. The Frenchman wants to keep one in case there is an injury to first choice right back Hector Bellerin.

Jenkinson’s name has been heavily associated with the Hammers in the last few days with West Ham seemingly in pole position to snap up the 24 year old on loan for a third successive season.

If Jenkinson remains at Arsenal though, it looks like Slaven Bilic will now also consider Debuchy as well. The Frenchman is currently injured with a hamstring injury but maybe sold when the transfer window reopens with both Marseille and Lille also interested in the 31 year old.

The Hammers are keen to snap up a right back after failing to sign a first choice replacement last summer. Sam Byram and Michail Antonio have played in the position whilst Alvaro Arbeloa has not made an impact since moving to the London Stadium from Real Madrid.
