West Ham will reject any loan offers for striker Ashley Fletcher in the January transfer window, according to the Sun.

The 21 year old only joined the Hammers in the summer from Manchester United but there has been speculation linking the young forward with a temporary switch to Leeds United.

With Slaven Bilic struggling for striking options in recent weeks with Simone Zaza’s poor form and Michail Antonio being used as an auxiliary striker, it seems like a logical move but with the imminent return of both Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll to first team action, Fletcher could have his game time restricted.

With the African Cup of Nations in January, Sakho will be absent on international duty while Zaza could return to Italy before his loan agreement becomes permanent leaving Bilic short of options once again.

A West Ham source told the Sun that this is indeed the reason why Fletcher is expected to remain at the London Stadium.
