A few more quotes have come out from West Ham midfielder Dimitri Payet’s interview with French TV channel Telefoot. The French international revealed earlier this week that he has not shut the door on departing the Hammers in January, but he was also asked about a possible destination.

When questioned on whether a return to France with either Paris Saint-Germain or his former club Marseille could be possible, the 29 year old replied (quote via Le10 Sport):

“A return to France? I always choose my clubs depending on the sports project, I work like that. If PSG and OM call me? For now, they have not come so I’ve not asked myself.”

Marseille has a new owner in Frank McCourt and have been linked with a number of high profile players, while PSG have been consistently linked with the French playmaker for a number of months.

Payet is currently on international duty with France and is expected to play a part when they face Sweden in a World Cup qualifier tomorrow night. His national side then follow that up with an international friendly match Ivory Coast next week before the midfielder will return to England in preparation for West Ham’s match against Tottenham in nine days time.
