Valencia have joined Napoli and AC Milan in the race to sign West Ham striker Simone Zaza in the January transfer window, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Italian website say that Valencia’s manager Cesare Prandelli is a keen admirer of the 25 year old and could make a move to shore up his striking options at the Mestalla.

Zaza is currently on loan at West Ham but is five matches away from a triggering a clause which would make the transfer to the London stadium permanent. The Sun report the Hammers have no intention of allowing Zaza to reach the appearances required before January and will allow his loan to be cut short in order for another club to take on the forward.

Napoli appear to be in pole position for the Italian as they are looking for a replacement for star striker Arkadiusz Milik who suffered a serious injury playing for his country Poland last month.
