West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has revealed that striker Diafra Sakho could feature against Stoke City tomorrow but it is looking touch and go.

The 26 year old has not played for the Hammers this season as he is been recovering from a chronic back problem but he has been training hard this week to regain full fitness. Writing in his column for the Evening Standard, Bilic said he was not ruling out an appearance for the Senegalese international:

“Diafra Sakho is back in full training this week — and we are going to see for the weekend with him. I am not saying he won’t be involved but we know after this match we have two weeks of training before the next one.”

It would be a surprise if Sakho is included in the squad for the game tomorrow afternoon. West Ham co-owner David Gold announced on Twitter that Sakho would most likely only be fit for the match against Tottenham after the international break, but it looks as though the forward is looking in pretty good shape for Bilic to even consider the possibility.

The Hammers could do with another body up front after Simone Zaza’s struggles in front of goal leading to winger Michail Antonio having to play the role in recent matches.
