West Ham forward Andre Ayew feels the club need to learn from their mistakes this season in order to get three points against Stoke City at the London stadium this weekend.

The 26 year old has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since he had to come off against Chelsea on the first day of the season, but he managed the last half hour in the 2-0 defeat against Everton on Sunday giving manager Slaven Bilic a huge injury boost. Ayew told the Evening Standard:

“We need to learn from our mistakes and get back to winning ways against Stoke. We know it will be another tough games but we are in front of our fans and we can beat them at home if we do what we have to do.”

Ayew also said he does not know whether he will start on Saturday but considering the Hammers lack of goals from forward areas this season, the £20m signing from Swansea will surely be in contention for a place in the starting eleven at the weekend. Stoke head into the match full of confidence after a 3-1 win over Ayew’s former side on Monday night so a good performance will be needed.
