West Ham United are believed to be one game away from triggering the permanent signing of Simone Zaza from Juventus, according to calciomercato.com.

The Italian website report that the Hammers will have to pay £17m if he makes ten appearances for the club this season, and after failing to score in his first nine appearances, rumours have already started circulating that the Italian will be offloaded in January with Milan the most likely suitor for the 25 year old.

It was reported by the Daily Mail back in August that the permanent signing of Zaza would be triggered after a “smaller number of games” but the exact number was never revealed.

Zaza is effectively on a season long loan currently, costing the Hammers £4.3million. If a certain number of appearances is reached however, the signing automatically becomes permanent for £17million next summer. It will be interesting to see if Zaza does make the squad for the Stoke match on Saturday
