West Ham have made an official enquiry to Chelsea about the possibility of signing midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan in January, according to the Express.
Reports last week emerged that Hammers manager Slaven Bilic was interested in taking the England Under 21 international to the London Stadium, as well as two other Chelsea players.
Matt Law in the Telegraph said that West Ham were looking at Loftus-Cheek, young forward Dominic Solanke and goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, and it now looks as if Bilic has made his move for at least one of them.
Loftus-Cheek has struggled to make an impact under Antonio Conte this season, making just three appearances for the Blues so far. He started two EFL Cup ties against Bristol Rovers in the second round and against Leicester City in the third round, but his only game in the Premier League was a nine minute substitute appearance in the match against Leicester back in mid October.
