Valencia are targeting Inter Milan forward Eder instead of West Ham forward Simone Zaza, according to Blasting News Italy. The Italian international has only scored one goal for the Serie A side this season, and was an unused substitute in Stefano Pioli’s first game in charge against AC Milan last week.

The Spanish team’s Italian manager Cesare Prandelli is seeking a striker in the January transfer window, and it looks as if he will be looking at signing someone he knows from his time managing in Italy.

Local newspaper Superdeporte tipped Prandelli to make a move for Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini last week and the interest in Eder suggests that Hammers forward Zaza may have limited options if he leaves in January.

Napoli and Valencia seemed to be the two main clubs interested in taking Zaza back to Italy but it looks as if both clubs are testing the waters with moves for other forwards before deciding to take a chance on the 25 year old.
