Galatasaray winger Bruma is on the verge of signing a new six year contract at his Turkish club, according to Yenicag. The Turkish newspaper say the Portuguese youngster has been offered a substantial pay rise.

The 22 year old currently has a contract until 2018 worth approximately €400,000 a year or €7,700 a week, but his new deal, which will run until 2022, will be worth €1.2million a year or €23,000 a week, an €800,000 a year increase.

The Portugal Under 21 international has been linked with West Ham in recent weeks with Slaven Bilic believed to be a big fan from the time he was Besiktas manager. With the expected departure of Turkish winger Gohkan Tore after a disappointing loan spell, Bruma could well have been eyed as a potential replacement but that now seems unlikely with the player near to a contract agreement.

Yenicag did report however that the Hammers would have been prepared to offer a deal close to €9.2m (or £8m) for Bruma but Galatasaray would have demanded in excess of €20m.
