West Ham manager Slaven Bilic will look to cut his losses on full back Alvaro Arbeloa in the January transfer window, according to the Sun.

The Spaniard only joined on a free transfer after leaving Real Madrid in the summer but the 33 year old is already seen as surplus to requirements as Bilic looks to reshape his squad after a poor first half of the season.

Arbeloa has only been in the squad three times this season, but on every occasion he was picked to start. He made his debut against Accringston Stanley in the EFL Cup back in late September, and then played in the following two league matches, in the 3-0 home defeat to Southampton and the 1-1 draw versus Middlesbrough.

It looks likely then that the former Spanish international has played his final game for the Hammers. Bilic is also expected to allow winger Gokhan Tore and striker Simone Zaza to leave in January, with both loan spells expected to be cut short.
