West Ham manager Slaven Bilic knows that the start of the Premier League season has not been good enough for the Hammers, and he is aware that his job is under threat if the club’s form doesn’t turn around.

Bilic’s side have won just three matches in the league this season, all coming in 1-0 wins, and the team find themselves in 17th, just one place above the relegation zone heading into this weekend’s match against Manchester United. Writing in his column for the Evening Standard, Bilic says he is not stupid and he is aware things need to improve soon:

“I am not a newcomer to this game and neither am I stupid. I know you are judged on the table and the number of points you have. West Ham have won just three points away from home in the Premier League this season. There is nothing I can do about that except work hard and look for us to win games.”

The trip to Old Trafford on Sunday will be a tough one for the Hammers with the Reds coming off the back of a confident 4-0 victory over Feyenoord in the Europa League on Thursday, and a good display against Arsenal last weekend.

Last season the Hammers eked out a 0-0 draw against United, and with Jose Mourinho’s side coming into the game with three successive draws at home in the Premier League, there is still certainly a chance to get a good result.
