Sevilla will attempt to make a loan offer, with a purchase option, for AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca, according to Leggo.

The Italian newspaper says that the Spanish side are keen to sign the player on loan first rather than on a permanent basis straight away like Milan would demand. West Ham had a £25million accepted for the player last summer, and were believed to be still interested in the forward.

Leggo’s story is in stark contrast to Seville newspaper Estadio Deportivo’s take on the likelihood of Bacca returning to the Estadio Pizjuan. The Spanish publication says that a move for the Colombian is unlikely because the forward doesn’t have an EU passport. Sevilla already have their maximum three non-EU players, and would have to offload one to make room for the 30 year old.

Bacca himself certainly seems to be keen on the move back to Spain, and while injured for the AC Milan’s match against Empoli, he returned to the country. Talking to Sevilla’s official radio station (via FourFourTwo), he said:

“I have very beautiful memories from Sevilla. It was two years in which I won two titles and in which the name of Carlos Bacca was known more. I have sincere friendships here. I always follow Sevilla, I know a lot of people and I always try to keep in touch.”
