West Ham winger Gokhan Tore has reportedly tried to persuade his parent club Besiktas to take him back after a difficult spell on loan at the Hammers this season.

It has been widely reported that Slaven Bilic wants to cut Tore’s time short at the London stadium despite the loan deal reportedly being made permanent at the end of the season. It is believed that Besiktas are asking West Ham to pay £2.5million in order to take back the player, leading to a standoff between the two clubs.

In order to make some progress in negotiations, Bursada Bugan report that Tore phoned up Besiktas club president Fikret Orman to say:

“I miss Besiktas and my friends. I want to go back.”

Orman then reportedly replied:

“I will speak with coach Senol [Gunes, Galatasaray head coach]. Then we will see what happens.”

Tore has been sidelined with a thigh strain since mid October but he had been playing pretty regularly for the Hammers before his injury with six starts in all competitions, although he has only managed one assist so far.
