Spanish newspaper AS is reporting that former Olympiakos and Marseille head coach Michel could be a possible replacement for Slaven Bilic if West Ham decide to sack the Croatian manager.

Veteran Spanish journalist Javier G. Matallanas says that the Hammers have put the Spaniard at the head of their shortlist if they decide to dispense with their current coach. He reports that West Ham are the only English club interested in Michel’s services while he has a number of offers already in La Liga.

The former Real Madrid midfielder was dismissed as Marseille manager back in April with the club 15th in the league after the cash strapped French club found themselves struggling in a relegation battle.

In his previous position with Olympiakos, Michel had won two Greek Championships and the national cup, while the 53 year old has also had spells managing in his native Spain with Rayo Vallecano, Getafe and Sevilla.
