West Ham manager Slaven Bilic says the team will miss captain Mark Noble when they face Tottenham at White Hart Lane tomorrow.

Noble is suspended for the match and the Hammers boss believes that they will miss the 29 year old’s character on the field when they face Spurs. He is quoted by the Evening Standard as saying:

“We are going to miss him. It is not only about quality on the pitch, it is also about character. In these kind of games you need your strongest characters.”

The Hammers head into the match with mixed recent form. Victories against Sunderland in the league, and Chelsea in the EFL Cup, were followed up by a defeat to Everton and a draw at home against fellow strugglers Stoke last time out.

Bilic will be hoping then that the international break has benefited the players and the team in order to head into the busy Christmas period in the best form possible. The return of Diafra Sakho to the squad should help improve the club’s striker options, and will hopefully help soon end the run of 17 matches without a forward scoring for the Hammers.
