West Ham have always been good at bringing in youngsters.
The likes of Joe Cole, Michael Carrick, Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand have all been produced by the club and gone on to have great careers but whilst they were successes for the youth system at the club, they need to make sure they keep producing the goods.
In recent years we’ve seen a real influx of players from around the world into the Premier League arguably having a negative effect on bringing youth players through but it’s this process that usually pays the most dividends to a club.
