West Ham went strolling into the EFL Cup quarter finals on Wednesday night against London rivals Chelsea at the London Stadium.

The game finished 2-1 with goals from Cheikhou Kouyate and Edimilson Fernandes proving to be enough despite a late Gary Cahill goal for the visitors and the Hammers will now face Manchester United at Old Trafford in the last eight.

It was a performance that stretched the club’s winning streak to three as they begin to look like the side of last season with confidence clearly back.

Slaven Bilic named a strong side to help get the job done and they duly delivered with many players putting in performances we have come to expect from them and now the hope will be that they carry that on in to the Premier League this weekend away at Everton.

We reckon, though, these two in particular were the stand-out performers…
