The struggles West Ham have faced this season have been well-documented but we could be about to see the tide turn in their favour after the weekend.
The Hammers went to Crystal Palace as the underdogs but looked anything but as they controlled large portions of the game and dug in when down to ten men after Aaron Cresswell’s sending off.
We also saw their attacking flair come through, too, with the aforementioned Cresswell setting up Manuel Lanzini’s eventual winner as the game finished 1-0.
The result will of course come as a huge boost to both players and their manager Slaven Bilic but now the key task is to build on it and not let themselves slide into the form that has plagued most of the season so far.
Competition for places is going to be key to make sure the players stay sharp and that’s why, in the goalkeeping area, West Ham need to strengthen. Here are two possible targets…
