England looms
As soon as Sam Allardyce was confirmed as England’s new manager, a lot of Hammers fans knew that West Ham players were back in contention in terms of getting picked for England.
Carroll himself is particularly keen to get back into the England fold:
“Every English player wants to get into the squad no matter who the manager is,” said the striker.
“The most important thing is to keep fit for West Ham, score goals and then, if it is Sam or another manager, try to push my way in.”
Allardyce has always loved a target man up front and he is a big fan of Andy Carroll. The former Hammers boss brought the striker to Upton Park in his time as manager and Big Sam won’t need a second invitation to hand the striker an international return if he carries on performing in the Premier League.
