Few players fully reach their prime at 29-years-old. Dimitri Payet is an exception, and he’s letting the world know one brilliant performance at a time.

In a team brimming with stars, Payet has shined the brightest. He earned a 9.59 rating in his opening EURO match against Romania, accentuated with a screaming wonder goal to cap the victory.

And he hasn’t slowed down since.

Payet entered France’s tilt against Iceland with the second most chances created in the tournament. Then, he recorded his second one-goal, one-assist performance of the tournament as France cruised to a 5-2 victory.

Quite simply, the West Ham midfielder has arguably been the best player in the EUROs. He has registered three goals and two assists, helping account for 45 percent of France’s goals, and should be your go to player when getting in on the Euro 2016 Finals betting action at William Hill page.

Payet’s brilliance has been one of the story lines of the tournament. Yet West Ham fans are used to this.

He emerged as one of the Premier League’s best players in his first season with the club. Payet’s ability to possess, find creases in the defence and create scoring chances has translated swimmingly to the international game.

His brilliance on set pieces has also impressed. Most recently, he delivered a sublime entrance to Olivier Giroud to widen the lead against Iceland, 5-1.

Now, France’s stiffest competition lies ahead. France will need Payet to play well if the home squad wants to dethrone Germany on Thursday night.

With Jerome Boateng and Mats Hummels focused on marking France’s strikers, it’s up to Payet and Paul Pogba to generate scoring chances.

Right now, no one can break the German side. Behind impeccable goalkeeping and a stout backline, Germany have surrendered one goal the entire tournament. France, meanwhile, have scored more than any team.

Payet is a primary reason. He is second in the tournament in goals scored behind teammate Antoine Griezmann, but no one has outplayed the West Ham product on France’s journey to European football supremacy.
