Michail Antonio has committed to West Ham after signing a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2020.

The winger has enjoyed a brilliant debut season in the Premier League, starring for the Hammers in both the right-back and right-midfield positions.

The 26-year-old spoke of his delight at securing a new deal:

“I am delighted to have signed a new contract. I am happy that the manager and the chairman have showed their belief in me to give me a new deal” he told whufc.com.

“I have always believed in my own ability and when I am given the opportunity I will take it and hopefully I have showed that.

“I had to be patient when I first arrived, but once I got the chance I never looked back and hopefully I can now push on and do even better than what I did last season.”

Aaron Cresswell is the second player expected to sign a new deal at the club after the club’s official insider declared that two first team stars were expected to sign new contracts this week.

The article also stated that the club could wrap up a major new signing by the end of the week. This could link to West Ham’s pursuit of a new striker but it is more than likely to be Besiktas’ Gokhan Tore, a deal the Hammers have been trying to conclude for a few weeks now.

If Bilic signs Tore, it will put to bed rumours of the Hammers’ interest in Yannick Bolasie, who has been linked with a £20 million move to the Olympic Stadium this week
