West Ham’s pursuit of Carlos Bacca has taken another turn this evening as the striker spoke to the press about his future at AC Milan.

Sky Italia posted a tweet quoting Bacca’s response when his future at the San Siro was questioned:

“My future? I have to talk to the club, then you will see” stated Bacca.

There have been conflicting reports from other twitter accounts claiming Bacca has committed his future to the Italian club. Although this is more than a likely option, the fact that reputable accounts such as Sky Italia have chosen not to post these comments means that they may not be entirely accurate.

AC Milan’s official television channel confirmed that the striker will have to decide between AC Milan and West Ham by Friday.

This confirms what Jack Sullivan claimed yesterday evening, that the club are waiting to hear back from the Colombian striker in 48 hours.

Italian news source Football Italia claim that the Hammers have offered Bacca a lucrative four year deal worth €4.5 million a season.

Although it has been well documented that Bacca is keen on joining a team playing Champions League football, it does not look like there is any interest from Champions League sides. Atletico Madrid ruled themselves out the race for the striker and it looks as if Arsenal are pursuing other targets.

One thing is for certain, the Hammers will know Bacca’s final decision by tomorrow.
