Promising Wolves right-back Dominic Iorfa would prefer a move to West Ham this summer, a family source told owngoalnigeria.com.

The England U21 defender has been in impressive form for the Championship side, playing in 41 league fixtures for Wolves across the 2015/16 campaign.

He has attracted a lot of interest from Premier League clubs, with Crystal Palace the latest name to have shown an interest in acquiring the 21-year-old’s services.

The Hammers are looking for a new right-back this summer and Iorfa would prefer a move to East London if the opportunity presents itself:

“It’s true that Iorfa is wanted by Southampton, Arsenal, West Ham and Crystal Palace but for obvious reasons he is more comfortable with a move to West Ham where he is most likely to get more playing time than any of the above team” a family source told owngoalnigeria.com.

There is not a lot of competition at right-back in Slaven Bilic’s side and it remains to be seen whether the manager would want two defenders under the age of 23 as his two main right-backs. Although a more experienced defender may be preferred, Aaron Cresswell has already proved that you can make the jump from the Championship to the Premier League with relative ease. The same can be said for winger Michail Antonio.

David Gold recently stated that the club will be looking to recruit quality from the Championship this summer:

“We have plucked gems out of the French league and the Championship in the past year and we will be looking to do likewise again this summer.”
A fast dribbler who is also a commanding presence at the back, Iorfa is destined for the Premier League if he continues to fulfil his potential.
