It appears that West Ham are in the driving seat regarding any potential deal for Argentine midfielder Manuel Lanzini.
The Club have already signed the midfielder on loan for the season and they can choose to make the deal permanent if they want to.
The Express are claiming that the 22-year-old could be sold to the Hammers for as little as £5.5 million. Although Lanzini is still a raw talent at Premier League level, his performances for the team so far suggest that he is an absolute steal for this price.
If it wasn’t for Dimitri Payet, Lanzini’s efforts this season may have drawn more attention. He was superb against the likes of Liverpool and Crystal Palace, displaying a mature side to his game that allows him to use the ball effectively and accurately.
If the River Plate graduate can continue to work effectively alongside Payet and Moses in the Hammers’ front three, Bilic will want to wrap up a deal for the attacker sooner rather than later.
In just 10 appearances for West Ham so far, Lanzini has chipped in with three goals and an assist. Although many may feel that the player deserves a permanent contract already, the real test lies ahead with the busy, bitter winter schedule.
It’s fair to suggest that Bilic will know a lot about his player by January so the Hammers could move for the attacker in a couple of months time if he continues to perform for the side.
