If my memory serves me correctly, this should be the very moment “It’s Happening Again, It’s Happening Agaaaaaaain, Tottenham Hotspur, It’s Happening Again” began to ring out across Upton Park. After beating Spurs once in the league, and once in the league cup, a Harry Kane own goal put us one-nil up at home against Spurs and we went on to win the game with a convincing 2-0 scoreline.
It was such a joyous day, and so brilliant that our survival was celebrated at home by beating Spurs. That chant is probably my favourite of recent years, and still has me smiling whilst writing about it.
