Jussi Jaaskelainen fouls Chelsea's OscarThis news will hardly surprise us Hammers and I’m certain it won’t surprise West Ham’s Jussi Jaaskelainen.

Sports Direct News are reporting that the 38-year-old will not be offered a new contract by Sam Allardyce & co.

Apparently, Jussi has to play 75% of our games but, because everyone involved with the Hammers is having a love affair with Adrian, the former Bolton Wanderers ‘keeper has only made 18 Premier League appearances, this season.

Will you be sad to see our favourite Finn leave?

Yes, helped us in our hour of need. Shame we could not have signed him ten years ago, but age is catching up with him so on balance Jussi leaving with our thanks and appreciation would be a good thing.

Very harsh i think, most of those Clean Sheets was down to him as well, why can’t he stay as number 2..Sorry for him but like the Stadium Old so you have had. Thanks Jussi hope you can get another club Take Care

Top goalkeeper this fella who could and should have been snapped up years ago by the big boys when they were all scrabbling round for decent stoppers and failing. I still think he up to speed for another season and for one would be disappointed to see him leave. Clearly Adrian has made the spot his own now, but as an experienced back up, still the man for me.

Why would you let your second best keeper go? Carlton Cole all over again

Hopefully this is just a rumour but if it’s not, what a keeper jussi has been for us! It’s very ironic that he only lost his place to an even better keeper! The club deserve great credit for rescuing him from the reserves at a championship side where his confidence was shot! If he was to go then, best wishes!

Jussi’s part in this year’s premiership campaign should not be underestimated. He is a class keeper and I think every true Hammers fan will be sad to see him leave and wish him well in the future.

West Ham have two exceptionally good keepers! Would it be wise to let one go, even if there is an unlikely chance of injury to the current number one? Jussi has done nothing wrong and remains a great talent. Why on earth would we want to replace him? Surely he has given West Ham enough for them to acknowledge his success with another season, albeit as number 2!
