Demba-Ba-West-Ham-Liverpo-007Sam Allardyce has blasted Lacina Traore’s agent following West Ham’s failed transfer attempt for the Monaco striker, claiming that he persuaded Traore not to play on loan for the Irons. But who would be a good target for the Hammers with time ticking on in the transfer window?

1. Jordan Rhodes – Sorry to repeat this name again – it’s one Hammers fans have seen far too many times over the last few seasons. He’s young, and has scored 16 goals so far this season for Blackburn Rovers. We’ve hardly been prolific in front of goal, so he could be just the boost we need to avoid being in that bottom three come the end of the season.

2. Papiss Cisse – Cisse has had a move fall through recently to Al-Rayyan, as the Quatar team didn’t meet the £10 million asking price for the Newcastle United forward. I would say a loan deal wouldn’t be out of the question, as it would take his wages off Newcastle’s hands and help ease his frustration at only playing a small role at St. James’ Park.

3. Demba Ba – This one is extremely unlikely as with Fernando Torres damaging his knee in Chelsea’s win over Manchester United, Ba will be needed for the Blues. Jose Mourinho has told the Senegal international that now is his time to shine, and so a move to West Ham is very improbable, but he would definitely be on my wish list as a potential transfer target!

4. Kenwyne Jones – Jones has been pushed out of the limelight a bit at Stoke City recently with Peter Crouch being in such fine form. He’s out of contract in the summer as well, so the Potters may want a sale to ensure they get some cash for him before he’s a free agent in May. However, it does look like he may have a bit of an attitude problem at the moment, as he refused to play against Liverpool last weekend and has been axed by Mark Hughes.

5. Rickie Lambert – Of course he had to get a mention. He seems to be a player we repeatedly have interest in, and according to some reports, he’d like to join us too. My only concern is that at the age of 31, we wouldn’t get much value for our money as Saints seem to want an extortionate amount for his services, and he is apparently demanding £75k a week.

Who would you want us to make a move for? Do you think the two Davids will even make a move for anyone?! Leave me a comment or tweet me at @alwaysintune.

No chance of Rhodes coming , He hasn’t been tested at the premiership level.
Also he likes to play with another striker. Anyway better off with him staying at
Rovers, and we can buy him in the summer, when we play in the Championship!!!!
Lescott was looking extremely pally this evening, could he be coming to us afterall,
or is he going to turkey.
Ba staying, Lambert is now overpriced with no sell on value. No to Jones, scores less than Maiga. No Cisse either, he has really off the boil.

SO 19 – 24 PTS IS THE CURRENT SAFETY MARGIN (AS OF 20-01-2014) FOR 11 CLUBS FIGHTING A RELEGATION BATTLE, WITH ONLY 6 POINTS SEPARATING ALL FROM 20TH UP TO 10TH POSITION. 16 GAMES OUT OF A POSSIBLE 48 PTS REMAIN, SO ONCE AGAIN, IT IS ALL THE BIG MONEYED CLUBS THAT ARE BAGGING MOST OF THE POINTS LEAVING ALL OF THE BOTTOM ELEVEN CLUBS TO SCRAP IT OUT WITH ANY OF THEM JUST A 55% CHANCE OF SURVIVAL! THIS IS WHAT THE FA HAS TURNED OUR GAME INTO!
IF YOU HAVEN’T GOT MONEY YOU HAVE TO LIVE LIKE A DOG & SCRAP IT OUT. STUFF THE FA & FIFA WHEN IT’S JUST THE BIG BOYS CLUB(S) AND MONEY THAT RULES THE DAY. MONEY ISN’T JUST KILLING OUR GAME, IT’S (FOOTBALL IS A MIRROR OF OUR WORLD SOCIETY) ALSO KILLING THE PLANET!

This whole post is pointless. Its full of dreams and a list of players we have been chasing for far too long most of who have already said no way. I dont know how long it took to write but the options here are about 3 months out of date.
