Good news, folks! West Ham won’t be losing Ravel Morrison on a free contract. Hugh Southon, of ‘Claretandhugh’, is reporting that West Ham have an option on Ravel’s contract.
The former Manchester United ace has two years remaining on his contract and, following his transformation in pre-season, rumours had begun that we may struggle to keep hold of Rav.
Sources close to the club said: “Thankfully we have an option so there’s no chance of losing him on a free contract.
“This allows us to take up a further year should we decide to do so although given the circumstances there’s no need for us to rush into negotiations.”
At least we can all sleep easy tonight and be safe in the knowledge that one of England’s brightest prospects is set to be a Hammer for years to come.
