Soccer - npower Football League Championship - Birmingham City v Hull City - St AndrewsAccording to talkSPORT Big Sam is willing to give Ravel Morrison a chance for the upcoming season.

This is news that many West Ham fans will welcome as Ravel is not short of admirers, only at the tender age of 20 Ravel still has a chance to prove the doubters wrong and redeem himself after suffering from off-field troubles.

With Birmingham City manager Lee Clark still highly interested in brining Ravel back to St Andrews; that alone tells us that he is held in high regard with the Midlands club for his vision and technical ability, it would be delusional for any of us to think that Ravel is the finished product at this current stage in time, mentally or physically; so his past antics don’t worry too much.

Although Ravel joined West Ham a year and half ago he still remains an enigma to West Ham and the footballing world, with it being reported that West Ham banned him from giving interviews (that has to be a first?

Morrison has the footballing credentials to become a West Ham hero, maybe even England; If we take a look at Paolo Di Canio he wasn’t exactly the calmest of individuals but on the pitch he’s footballing ability was absolutely majestic at times and went on to become a hero, difference with Ravel is he has age on his side and the ability to have it all, if he wants it….

I for one hope this news is accurate and Ravel has a long successful career with the Hammers!

Talent is one thing but it’s useless without the ability to control your emotions, you also need to have a modecom of intelligence and self control.
It’s not often that Sir Alex gets it wrong so I would be surprised if Morrison makes anything of his talent, I genuinely hope I’m wrong, not just for West Ham but for England too.

morrisons past goes before him .
If he can keep his off field life separate from on field , and can function as a professional footballer with respect , he can turn out to be a top player for west ham and England .
THE BOY HAS TREMENDOUS ABILITY BUT OUTSIDE INFLUENCES COULD WRECK HIS CAREER .
SO WAKE UP RAVEL , SMELL THE COFFEE DONT WASTE YOUR UNDOUBTED TALENT .
YOU COULD HAVE SUCH A FANTASTIC LIFE.

As everyone realises by now, Ravel has undoubted talent by the bucket load without question and his problems lay with his influences outside of football which ultimately affected his attitude with his profession of football.
Hopefully these hangers on can’t travel and have moved on to other targets.
Sounds like he has apologised to the coaching staff and now wants to move on with his football career. If he can do that, he is most definitely the player we NEED!

Ravel, graft and listening will make you a superstar as the ability is already there. Greatness awaits………..Hopefully!
