West Ham’s Future Lies With These Two

|

Ravel MorrisonWith West Ham’s Rob Hall and Ravel Morrison both on loan at Birmingham City and impressing this season, are they ready for the Premier League (assuming we are there) next season? For me I would see it in a slightly different light. When assessing whether these players have the ability to make it next year I can’t help but think that one has more chance than the other; this man being Ravel Morrison. Tipped as being one of England’s brightest new stars from a young age and quoted by Paul Scholes as being one of the best new talents he had ever seen, we had so much expectation for Ravel. His talent is not in question, even if we haven’t seen much from the lad in a West Ham shirt, from youth games and glimpses at Birmingham before his current injury he has shown nothing short of class. The problem I think is not from his ability, but his much discussed attitude.

We see with talents such as Mario Balotelli that there was only so much the current champions of England, Manchester City could handle before selling him. If his antics carry on unfortunately the same outcome could occur with Ravel. Especially with rumours that he stole from the United dressing room, it is not surprising that they wanted rid of him. So if somehow he can be tamed and given a real wake up call that his career could end before it even starts then maybe, just maybe we could be onto a winner here.

I honestly do think he could make a difference next year if given the chance, he is now twenty and at the perfect stage to start making a real push for the first team. He has guile, skill, a good finish and charisma, and shoot me down for this statement but traits similar to that of a certain Paolo Di Canio. I think we would all agree if Ravel turned out anything like the great man Paolo, then we really will be in for a treat with his future, and the sooner the better if you ask me. With Rob Hall I certainly still have high hopes for the lad as he is a great young prospect but I feel he will have longer to wait due to his position. With Ravel it will be easier to feed him into the team as an extra pair of legs in midfield in the closing stages of games is always a help, but other than FA/Capital One Cup games I can’t see Hall getting much of a chance in the Premier League, especially as Sam Allardyce prefers a big man up top on his own.

So for the season after this one I think it would definitely be worth giving Hall another year on loan as to which he can really build a tally of goals and a set of performances to catch big Sam’s attention, and hopefully we can see Hall and Morrison playing in the Premier league for West Ham before no time.

Hall is gna be something special no doubt about it, i fink morrison may just end up like the countless other promising young players who never fulfill their potential.

Good luck with anyone young getting a chance with the fat idiot in charge. I agree that they should play next season but if he is in charge, they wont.

  • Tonka says:

Neither of these guys will ever get a game whilst there’s still another 30 year old mediocrity for Sam to sign.

Expect us to continue to loan youngsters to Birmingham next season due to david gold and david sullivan’s links to them the player likely to go on loan to them next season

    1. Blair Turgott
    2. Paul McCallum
    3. Dan Potts

Sam likes to send youngsters out in groups so they get used to playing with eachover. Rob Hall is likely to be a West Ham next year starting on the bench as a attacking utillity man due to his abillity to play on both wings center attacking mid and as a striker. Morrison may go back on loan to Birmingham till january.

well i think ravel may be given the oppotunity next season but only if one of our main centre mids are injured, on the other hand i would like to see hall playing off of a big striker or having him as a back up to jarvis. lastly Blair Turgott has been looking like a hidden gem and Sebastien Lleget has been given some excellent reports

Thanks for the feedback guys. Would have to agree that bfs does not exactly give opportunities to the young lads. I hope they both get a chance to show us what they could do, until then we will never know!

Comparing Morrison to Di Canio? Really? While both are talented and fiery, Di Canio is a man of honour. Morrison is not. I remember Di Canio plucking a cross out of the air because the Everton keeper was lying injured by the corner flag. Morrison only plucks watches out of teammate’s lockers. Also, I think Hall & Morrison have a grand total of one goal between them this season for Birmingham.

    • Ben says:

Exactly as I stated he needs a stern word and sorting out, Di Canio is also a Fascist a belief closely linked with racism so we won’t get into the personalities of these people, personally I don’t care about their personalities I’m just interested in Morrisions talent and what he can do on the pitch for West Ham

Hopefully loan them to Bolton for a while then they will have the credentials to play for West ham. Sam will then play Hall in goal and Morrison in defence. On a serious note, i hope both stay long enough and their chance will hopefully come.
