Lets get the Boleyn rocking!

When Sky Sports announced their live schedule earlier on in the season West Ham United versus Stoke City ticked through the yellow bar on Sky Sports news on a Monday night much to my surprise.

Two thoughts came into my mind, one. Monday night brilliant another hellish late journey, oh how I miss 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, and two, why on earth is West Ham versus Stoke City on Sky. A game that no doubt no nothing journos will tout as the battle of the long ball specialists, and to be fair I doubt many neutrals will be tuning in.

After two weeks where the Hammers have played Champions Manchester City and picked up an unexpected point and then Newcastle where the Hammers threw away the form book again and won up in Tyneside for the first time since 1998. We must keep up our fine form and show those neutrals who tune in that we mean business this year.

Sam Allardyce will no doubt be ready for the bullyboy tactics that will no doubt come our way on Monday. It’s vitally important we keep up this fine home form, only Arsenal have walked away from Upton Park this season with three points. Wenger said after the game that “not many teams would come away from here with 3 points this season.”

Here’s hoping the Frenchmen’s right, and we can turn Upton Park back into a fortress again. And if you have a ticket like me on Monday night we have to turn up the volume and get the Boleyn bouncing again. There is no better spectacle in the world than a West Ham home game under the lights at Upton Park, yes I may moan about the journey home after but the noise and sight of the floodlights make it all worthwhile in the end.

Sam Allardyce will want to put his recent record under the Upton Park lights right, the Dudley born man has had a fairly torrid time in the dark at the academy of football. Draws against Bristol City and defeats to Ipswich still send shivers down my spine, or maybe that was just the cold. Allardyce will hope to propel his Hammers into the top four on Monday if results go his way over the weekend.

Stoke City meanwhile will look to pick up their first away win in 15 and that sort of stat usually spells trouble for West Ham, as we well know a striker who has scored in 4 seasons pops up with the winner in the 90th minute, a team who has won all season smashes 3 against us. Stoke have some good players so we must not becoming complacent over our early season form; make no bones about it this is a big game for both sides.

Ever dreamt about getting paid for reading about West Ham? Well now you can make dreams a reality http://bit.ly/ffc-foreverwestham-lp

So here is my message to those who are going on Monday, stand up and be counted, let your voice be heard in Canning town, West Ham United needs you. Failing that a good sing song will keep you warm.

Come on You Irons!

Let’s get the Boleyn rocking.
